Foundry Square, Office complex in South Financial District, San Francisco, United States.
Foundry Square is an office complex with four ten-story buildings located at Howard and First Streets in South Financial District. The development combines office and retail spaces designed to allow natural light to fill the interiors through extensive glass features.
Construction occurred in phases, with initial buildings completed in 2003 and further structures added in 2007 and 2014. This gradual expansion shaped the complex into its current configuration.
The integrated public spaces and art installations, including Richard Deutsch's stainless steel sculpture Time Signature, foster community engagement within the business district.
The site sits at a major intersection and is easy to locate and access from surrounding streets. The public areas between the buildings offer a pleasant route for walking through the neighborhood.
Each corner building features dual-glaze glass walls that visually and functionally link interior and exterior spaces. This design creates a seamless transition between enclosed office areas and the open square at the intersection.
