Park Tower at Transbay is a modern office tower with 43 floors that stands out for its large outdoor terraces positioned at the northwest and southeast corners. The building's structure wraps around a significant transit center, creating a direct connection between the office spaces and public transportation below.

The site was formerly occupied by the old Transbay Terminal's state-owned ramps before the land was redeveloped for this office tower. The construction project emerged in the 2010s as part of a broader urban renewal effort in the South of Market neighborhood.

The tower represents the evolution of San Francisco's business district, integrating commercial spaces with public areas in an urban setting.

Four development teams competed for this project, with the winning consortium paying 172.5 million dollars to acquire the property in 2015.
