555 Mission Street

555 Mission Street is a 33-story office tower in San Francisco's Financial District with a glass exterior wall that rises approximately 147 meters. Floor-to-floor windows run continuously along the building, creating its defining appearance on the skyline.

Construction was delayed by the economic effects of the dot-com crash before starting in 2006. The tower was completed in September 2008 and became one of the last large office buildings developed in the city that decade.

The public plaza at street level connects two city blocks and displays large outdoor sculptures that residents and workers encounter daily. These artworks have become part of the local landscape where people pass through on their way around the Financial District.

The building can be accessed through a public plaza that connects to both Mission and Minna Streets, making arrival straightforward from either direction. Visitors will find parking available in the basement levels and efficient elevator service to reach the different office zones.

This tower was the largest office project developed in San Francisco during the 2000s decade. This distinction makes it a notable example of construction activity that continued despite broader economic challenges in real estate.
