The Ruhstaller Building is a three-story corner commercial building at 900 K Street in downtown Sacramento, completed in 1898. Its light grey upper floors with blue-grey trim rise above ground-floor storefronts shaded by red fabric awnings. A curved bay with a dark roof and finial marks the chamfered corner, where a band beneath the windows reads "RUHSTALLER BUILDING"; projecting bay windows and pilasters divide the facade, and a prominent cornice tops the flat roofline.

Frank Ruhstaller built this structure in 1898 to house his brewing business and the Buffalo Brewery operation. The building came about during a period when Sacramento was growing as an economic center with breweries playing a significant role in that development.

The building's name comes from Frank Ruhstaller, who had it built in 1898 for the offices of The Ruhstaller Brewery; he also managed Buffalo Brewery and made the same address its headquarters. The corner band reading "RUHSTALLER BUILDING" still identifies it to passers-by at the corner of Downtown Sacramento.
