Norton Building, Post-war office building in Downtown Seattle, United States
The Norton Building features a 17-story steel frame structure with an aluminum exterior, situated at 801 2nd Avenue in Seattle's business district.
Built in 1959 at a cost of 12 million dollars, the Norton Building replaced the 1889 Haller Building on the same location.
The structure received recognition from the Washington State Chapter of the American Institute of Architects in 1960 for its International Style design.
The building contains multiple floors of office space, with the main entrance located on Second Avenue and direct access to Seattle's downtown commercial area.
The Norton Building stands as one of the first private structures in the United States to implement pre-stressed concrete construction methods.
