Former Residence of Qi Baishi, Chinese art museum in Xicheng District, Beijing, China

The Former Residence of Qi Baishi displays original paintings, calligraphy works, and personal items of the celebrated Chinese painter within traditional courtyard architecture.

After Qi Baishi settled in Beijing at age 57, this residence became a center for artistic gatherings and remained his home through significant events until 1957.

The museum exhibits numerous watercolor paintings depicting flowers, birds, and insects, reflecting traditional Chinese artistic techniques and natural observations.

Located at Number 13 Kuache Hutong, the museum opens daily from 5:00 AM to 10:00 PM with free admission and guided tours available.

The garden contains plants that inspired many of Qi Baishi's most recognized paintings, including gourds and grapes that appear in his famous compositions.
