Heritage Square was an amusement park in Golden near the Rocky Mountain foothills that featured themed areas, rides, and various entertainment options. The site contained multiple zones with different attractions and shops throughout the grounds.
The park opened in 1959 as Magic Mountain, founded by former Disneyland employees who wanted to recreate California's success in Colorado. It underwent changes in ownership and concept before closing permanently in 2018.
The Opera House hosted theater performances and concerts where audiences could watch live entertainment throughout the year. This venue created a gathering place where people experienced music and drama together.
The location on West Colfax Avenue is no longer accessible as the property permanently closed in 2018. All equipment and rides were sold through public auctions after the final shutdown.
