World's Wonder View Tower, Tourist attraction and observation tower in Genoa, US.
World's Wonder View Tower is an observation tower in Genoa standing about 65 feet tall, positioned along the highway between Denver and Kansas City. The six-story building allowed visitors to climb to the top for panoramic views across multiple states from its elevated location.
Charles W. Gregory and Myrtle Le Bow built this tower during the 1920s at a location with deep roots in the region. The site had previously served Native American communities and early stage routes that crossed the plains.
The tower contained multiple exhibition rooms displaying American West artifacts, Native American arrowheads, and an extensive collection of historical items.
The tower was open to visitors who could pay a small fee to climb the interior stairs to the top. Visiting early in the day helps you avoid crowds and makes the climb more enjoyable.
The former collection displayed unusual animal specimens including a two-headed calf and an eight-legged pig. These oddities existed alongside a collection of more than 50,000 different glass bottles that attracted curious travelers.
