Quesnel Lake, Glacial lake in British Columbia, Canada.

Located at 728 meters elevation, Quesnel Lake extends 100 kilometers from Likely to its East arm with a surface area of 266 square kilometers.

The lake gained attention in 2014 when the Mount Polley mine tailings pond failure released materials into its waters, affecting local water resources.

The Southern Carrier people, known as Uda Ukelh, traditionally navigated these waters in the early morning, establishing deep connections with the lake.

Multiple lodges along the shoreline provide accommodations for visitors, with access available through small aircraft, helicopters, or watercraft throughout the year.

At 511 meters deep, Quesnel Lake stands as the deepest fjord lake worldwide and holds the title of deepest lake in British Columbia.
