The Mayo Building is a multi-story commercial structure in Tulsa built in neoclassical style with columns and detailed stonework that reflects early 20th-century design. The building was expanded multiple times during its first decade to accommodate growing business demand and now serves as loft apartments while maintaining its historic exterior.

The Mayo Brothers, furniture dealers since 1904, began this five-story building at 420 South Main in 1909; it opened in 1910. They duplicated it at 418 South Main in 1914, added five stories to each in 1917, and ran the two as one. A fire on 24 October 1917 killed firefighters Ross Shepard and Ben Hanes.

The Mayo name comes from the brothers' furniture store, opened in 1904 and moved to rented premises on Main Street in 1906. Profits from the building at 420 South Main paid for the Petroleum Building (1921), the Mayo Hotel (1925) and the Mayo Motor Inn (1950). The Mayo Building is listed as a supporting structure of the Oil Capital Historic District.

The building stands at the northwest corner of West Fifth Street and South Main Street, at 420 South Main. It is now a loft apartment building, so the interior is not open to the public; the exterior can be seen from the sidewalk. It is a contributing structure in the Oil Capital Historic District.

The 1917 fire killed firefighters Ross Shepard, 29, and Ben Hanes, 27, when a stairway they were fighting from collapsed. They were the Tulsa Fire Department's first line-of-duty deaths and remain its only members killed in a structure fire since its founding in 1905.
