Kiu Tsui Beach

Kiu Tsui Beach is located on the southwest tip of Sharp Island in Sai Kung's waters, featuring clear, clean conditions and comfortable facilities. The site includes 13 barbecue pits, changing rooms, and shower amenities for visitors.

Sharp Island formed approximately 140 million years ago through volcanic activity, resulting in the distinctive rock formations visible today. The island and its beaches gradually became an important recreational destination for the local population.

The beach draws both locals and visitors seeking outdoor recreation in an open setting. The barbecue facilities make it a popular gathering spot for families and groups, especially on weekends.

Visitors reach the beach by taking a sampan or kaito boat from Sai Kung Town pier, a journey of about 15 minutes. Sturdy footwear is advisable since the path from the boat landing to the beach crosses rocky terrain.

During low tide, a natural sand path emerges between Sharp Island and the nearby Kiu Tau islet, creating a temporary walkway for visitors. This seasonal occurrence provides a rare opportunity to explore an otherwise isolated area on foot.
