Scholars Pavilion, Persian monument at United Nations complex, Vienna, Austria
The Scholars Pavilion features four pillars supporting a dome, displaying ornamental Persian designs and detailed architectural carvings throughout its structure.
Iran presented this monument to the United Nations Vienna Office in June 2009, marking a celebration of scientific developments in Persian culture.
The pavilion exhibits statues of four Persian scientists - Omar Khayyam, Al-Biruni, Rhazes, and Avicenna - recognizing their contributions to global knowledge.
Visitors can reach the monument by taking public transportation to the Vienna International Centre station, with regular guided tours available throughout the week.
The structure combines elements of Achaemenid architecture with the traditional Persian fire temple design known as chahartaq, creating a distinct architectural form.
