Ares Tower, Modern office tower in Donau City, Vienna, Austria
The Ares Tower stretches 100 meters into the Vienna skyline with 26 floors of glass and steel construction in the Donau City district.
Architect Heinz Neumann completed this contemporary business structure in 2001 as part of Vienna's waterfront development initiative.
The building received its name from Ares, the Greek god of war, following the mythological naming pattern of structures in Donau City.
The tower provides 40,000 square meters of rentable office space across its floors, serving as a central business location in Vienna's modern district.
Tall bamboo plants surround the base of the tower to reduce the wind effects created by the building's structural design.
