Tech Gate Vienna, Technology park in Donaustadt district, Vienna, Austria
Tech Gate Vienna is a modern building complex in Donaustadt consisting of two structures that form one of the tallest landmarks in this newly developed urban area. The site accommodates multiple research facilities, offices, and conference spaces all in one central location.
The complex was designed and built between 1999 and 2005 by architects Wilhelm Holzbauer and Sepp Frank. Its completion marked an important step in transforming this area into a modern research and technology hub.
The Austrian Institute of Technology, Telecommunications Research Center Vienna, and VRVis Research Center conduct research and development within the facility.
The site features several conference rooms and laboratory facilities located at Donau-City-Straße 1 and is easily accessible. The location sits within a newly developed urban area with ample parking and good public transportation connections.
The second building houses specialized facilities for virtual reality research and incubation spaces for new companies. This combination of established research centers and startup support creates a place where traditional research meets entrepreneurship.
