Zainul Abedin Museum

Zainul Abedin Museum displays oil paintings and personal belongings of the respected Bangladeshi artist in a dedicated space. The collection includes both finished artworks and everyday objects that tell the story of his life and artistic journey.

The museum was founded in 1975 to preserve and share the artist's legacy with the public. The collection suffered a theft in the 1980s, but the institution recovered and managed to retrieve some of the stolen works over time.

The museum honors the artist as a pioneer of modern Bangladeshi art, keeping his vision alive for visitors to experience. His work reflects how local artists shaped the country's cultural identity through paint and personal expression.

The museum is accessible by rickshaw and auto-rickshaw from central locations like Maskanda bus terminal. It also has outdoor spaces, so visiting on a clear day allows you to enjoy both indoor galleries and the grounds.

The grounds include an Art Cottage for visiting artists to work and stay, plus an open-air stage for workshops and events. These spaces make the location more than just a gallery and encourage active artistic collaboration and learning.
