MarineLand

MarineLand is an animal theme park in Niagara Falls, Ontario, where marine creatures and land animals share space with roller coasters and family rides. The grounds spread across wooded hills with pathways connecting different zones for wildlife viewing and entertainment.

John Holer opened the park in 1961 as Marine Wonderland and Animal Farm, starting with a small collection of animals. Over the years, rides and new exhibits were added as the site grew into a larger attraction.

The park carries the vision of its founder, who wanted to bring ocean life closer to people far from the sea. Families often make a full day of their visit, moving between animal exhibits and rides together.

The park sits a short drive from downtown Niagara Falls and is easiest to reach by car. Visitors should wear comfortable shoes, as the paths between animal areas and rides cover hilly terrain.

Belugas swim in large tanks designed to let visitors watch them from several angles, including underwater windows. These white whales from Arctic waters are among the few marine mammals you can see this close in eastern Canada.
