Callander is a township municipality in Parry Sound District located at the southeast end of Lake Nipissing. The main settlement sits along the eastern shore of Callander Bay and covers roughly 106 square kilometers.
The area began as a postal settlement in 1881 when George Morrison established the post office and was originally named North Himsworth. It took on its current name, Callander, in 2003.
