Musée des civilisations, Cultural heritage museum in Dschang, Cameroon.
The Museum of Civilizations occupies 1200 square meters near the municipal lake, featuring eight columns and two cone-shaped roofs in contemporary African design.
The museum opened its doors in 2010 through cooperation between Dschang and Nantes, with strong support from the Cameroonian diaspora in France.
The collection displays 500 artifacts across six thematic spaces that document the traditions of 250 ethnic groups living in Cameroon.
Visitors can explore the museum daily from 9 AM to 5 PM, with guided tours available and a shop selling traditional crafts.
The building incorporates regional symbols of the spider, buffalo, and elephant into its architectural design by Sylvain Djache Nzefa.
