Tower of the Yellow Crane, Chinese pagoda on Snake Hill in Wuhan, China.

The Yellow Crane Tower rises 51.4 meters high with five levels covered by 100,000 yellow glazed tiles atop Snake Hill overlooking the Yangtze River.

First constructed in 223 CE as a military watchtower by Sun Quan, the structure underwent multiple reconstructions, with the current tower dating from 1985.

The pagoda features exhibits on each floor, including ancient poetry collections and a large porcelain mural depicting traditional Chinese landscapes.

Visitors can reach the tower by bus routes 10, 61, 401, 402, or trolleybus lines 1, 4, and 7, with an entrance fee of 70 yuan.

According to local tales, a Taoist priest drew a magical dancing crane on a wine house wall, leading to the construction of the original tower.
