Yuexiu Fortune Center Tower 1, Office skyscraper in Wuhan, China
Yuexiu Fortune Center Tower 1 is a 68-floor office skyscraper rising 330 metres in the Qiaokou District of Hankou, Wuhan. The tower tops out at 330 metres and was completed in 2017, making it the tallest building in a complex that also holds eight residential towers and a shopping mall. It was designed by the Guangzhou Urban Construction Design Institute and built by the First Company of China Construction Third Engineering Bureau.
Construction started in 2012 and finished in 2017 during a period of rapid commercial growth in Wuhan. Its completion marked a turning point in the city's urban modernization and downtown transformation.
The tower represents Wuhan's transformation into a modern business center, showing how the city moved beyond its industrial past. Today it shapes the skyline and locals view it as a sign of economic growth.
The tower is easily accessible by public transportation and located near shopping and residential facilities. The integrated design with the adjacent shopping mall makes it convenient to move between office, retail, and residential areas.
The tower topped out on 28 July 2015, and by the end of 2024 it was Wuhan's sixth-tallest building. Its developer was Wuhan Yuexiu Property, it was designed by Guangzhou City Construction Design Institute and built by China Construction Third Engineering Bureau First Company. Completion came a month ahead of schedule, which was attributed to a weaker-than-usual El Niño and no increase in Wuhan's plum-rain days.
