Tortoise Mountain TV Tower, Television tower in Hanyang District, Wuhan, China

The Tortoise Mountain TV Tower reaches a height of 311.4 meters with an observation deck positioned at 221.2 meters above ground level.

Built in 1986, this concrete structure marked China's first independently developed television tower, representing a milestone in national broadcasting infrastructure.

The tower sits near the Qing Chuan Ge temple complex, which contains architectural elements from the Three Kingdoms, Song, and Ming dynasties.

Visitors access the tower through Guishan North Road in the Hanyang District, with the observation deck offering views across the Yangtze River.

The structure stands on the northwestern shoulder of Guishan Mountain rather than its peak to preserve the ancient temple complex above.
