Island6, Contemporary art space in Moganshan Road, Shanghai, China
Island6 operates as an artistic production center where creators work with various media, from traditional Chinese papercutting to interactive video animations.
Founded in 2006 by Thomas Charvériat, Island6 initially established its presence in a converted flour mill warehouse in Shanghai's Moganshan Road district.
The Liu Dao art collective, central to Island6, produces LED artworks, interactive installations, and multimedia pieces that merge technology with artistic expression.
Visitors can explore Island6's exhibitions and resources every day from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM at 50 Moganshan Lu, Building 6, Second Floor.
The center maintains three separate locations throughout Shanghai, enabling broad exposure for both European and Chinese artists through curated group exhibitions.
