Tianhe Stadium is a multi-purpose sports venue in Guangzhou with seating for around 58,500 people. The facility accommodates football matches and other large-scale events on its main playing surface.
The stadium opened in 1987 on the site of the former Guangzhou Tianhe Airport and hosted China's National Games. In 1991, it served as the venue for the final match of the inaugural FIFA Women's World Cup.
The stadium hosted the final match of the first FIFA Women's World Cup in 1991, where the United States competed against Norway.
The stadium is accessible by public transportation with metro stations nearby for easy arrival. Parking and basic facilities are available for visitors attending events at the venue.
Guangzhou Evergrande football club obtained exclusive operating rights for the stadium in 2016, securing a twenty-year management agreement.
