Mount Langya is a mountain range in southwestern Chuzhou that rises to about 1,138 meters (3,734 ft) and features forests, river valleys, and natural rock formations. The area functions as both a National Forest Park and National Scenic Area with multiple hiking routes through its terrain.
During the Eastern Jin dynasty in the 4th century, the area received its name when an emperor granted territorial rights to a prince associated with Langya. This royal connection established the location as a place of historical importance.
