Jiangxin Island

Jiangxin Island is a spear-shaped landmass in the Yangtze River containing green spaces, gardens, and residential neighborhoods spread across its surface. The island also features farming areas and a folk village displaying traditional structures and ways of living.

The island served as a strategic position for military operations and an important trading hub along the Yangtze during multiple Chinese dynasties. This role shaped its development over centuries.

The island is reached through regular ferry services from Zhongshan Wharf and Mianhuadi or via the Yingtian Street Elevated Bridge. Plan time for walking between different areas, especially if you want to explore the agricultural zones and folk village.

The island is known for growing more than 100 grape varieties, with harvests celebrated during summer months in a festival. During this time, visitors can explore vineyards and taste freshly picked fruit directly from the fields.
