Dabu County

Dabu County is an administrative county in eastern Guangdong with an area of around 2,470 square kilometers (950 square miles) and several towns centered around Huliao as the administrative hub. The landscape combines rural areas with smaller urban centers.

The administrative center relocated from the ancient settlement of Chayang to Huliao, marking a significant turning point in the county's governance history. This shift reflects how the region's economic and administrative focus evolved over time.

The region maintains strong connections to Hakka traditions visible in daily life through language, food, and local customs. Many residents continue these cultural practices passed down through their families.
