The Summit

The Summit is a 65-story residential tower standing at approximately 220 meters in the Mid-Levels district. The structure houses residential apartments throughout all floors, serving as housing in one of Hong Kong's most densely populated neighborhoods.

Construction began in 1999 under the direction of DLN Architects and was completed in 2001, reflecting Hong Kong's continued vertical expansion during that period. The building emerged during an era of rapid high-rise development in the city.

Locals refer to this tower alongside the neighboring Highcliff building as The Chopsticks, a playful nickname that highlights the distinctive parallel forms of these two structures. This informal naming reflects how residents engage with and personalize their urban surroundings.

The tower is located in the accessible Mid-Levels area served by public transportation. As a private residential building, access to common areas may be limited to residents and their guests.

The building features an exceptionally narrow profile that represents a clever architectural response to Hong Kong's limited buildable land. This slender vertical form is a defining characteristic frequently observed in structures built in this densely developed city.
