Eaton Hotel Hong Kong, hotel in Kowloon, Hong Kong
Eaton Hotel Hong Kong is a hotel on Nathan Road in Kowloon, sitting at the center of one of the city's densest urban areas. The property has several restaurants, a rooftop pool designed after a Roman bath, a fitness center, modern rooms, and Eaton House, an underground space with offices, galleries, a recording studio, and a screening room.
The building was fully renovated in 2013, keeping its outer shell while redesigning the interior from scratch. The new design drew on the history of the surrounding neighborhood and the films of Wong Kar-wai, which were shot in nearby streets and captured the mood of 1990s Hong Kong.
The hotel sits on Nathan Road, one of Kowloon's busiest shopping streets, where foot traffic flows constantly from morning to late at night. The interior draws from the look of nearby market stalls and shopfronts, so the building feels connected to the street outside rather than separate from it.
Jordan MTR station is a short walk away, making it easy to reach any part of the city by subway. Temple Street Night Market, known for street food and local goods, is also within easy walking distance.
Eaton House, the hotel's underground level, was designed as a working creative space for local artists, musicians, and filmmakers, not just a hotel amenity. The recording studio and screening room there are open to community use, which sets the property apart from a standard hotel.
