Ferry Point, Ferry terminal in Jordan, Kowloon Peninsula, Hong Kong
Ferry Point was a terminal in Kowloon that crossed Victoria Harbour, linking to Central and Wan Chai districts. The facility featured modern structures designed to accommodate both passengers and vehicles.
In 1933, Jordan Road Ferry Pier replaced the earlier facility at Yau Ma Tei and became the main station for double-deck ferries. Services continued here until February 1998, when operations ended.
During the 1960s, this location served as a residential neighborhood for middle-class families drawn to its shipping connections and harbor activities. The proximity to the waterfront shaped daily life and fostered a community closely tied to maritime work.
Today the site is accessible through Austin MTR station, which serves as a major transportation hub. The area is convenient to walk through and well integrated into the public transit network.
The former bus terminus at this location was redeveloped in 2003 to make way for the Kowloon Southern Link railway construction. This transformation shows how the space evolved from a ferry transit point to a modern rail hub.
