The Arch is a residential skyscraper in Union Square with 65 floors above ground and 2 underground levels, rising 231 meters into the skyline. The building sits directly above Kowloon Station, providing residents with immediate access to public transportation and numerous shopping facilities.
Sun Hung Kai Properties completed construction of this residential tower in 2005, marking a new phase in Hong Kong's urban development. The completion coincided with rapid expansion in the city, when vertical housing complexes addressed growing residential demand.
The name refers to the Paris Arc de Triomphe only through the building's arch-like outline; it has no direct link to that monument. The four towers are named Sun, Star, Moon and Sky. On the 62nd floor, a former fire separation level was converted into a sky garden for residents.
The building offers direct access to the subway and shopping centers, making it easy to explore the surroundings. Keep in mind this is a private residential building, so access to interior spaces is limited.
The Sky Club occupies floors 59 to 62, above the 500-foot level at the arch's opening. Its 25-metre pool has floor-to-ceiling glass, and two scenic lifts carry residents to it. Floor 62, originally a fire separation level, was converted into a sky garden.
