Elements, Hong Kong, Shopping center in West Kowloon, Hong Kong.
Elements is a shopping center spanning four levels above Kowloon MTR station with 1,000,000 square feet of retail space offering diverse shops and services. The building is positioned directly above the station and serves as a major shopping destination in West Kowloon.
The shopping center was developed by MTR Corporation as part of their urban development strategy and opened on October 1, 2007. This opening was part of a broader initiative to transform the area surrounding Kowloon station.
The interior layout divides into five zones representing Chinese elements: Metal, Wood, Water, Fire, and Earth, each containing specific art installations. These thematic areas guide visitors through the space and reflect a deliberate design philosophy throughout the shopping center.
The center provides ten restrooms with waiting areas, electric vehicle charging stations, and complete wheelchair accessibility throughout. Visitors can navigate easily and access public transportation directly through the connected MTR station.
The building connects to the International Commerce Centre through covered walkways and offers direct access to the sky100 observation deck. This connection allows visitors to easily reach one of the city's highest viewing platforms from the shopping areas.
