Tak Long Estate is a residential complex with nine towers containing approximately 8,164 units spread across the former Kai Tak Airport grounds. The development occupies about 5.7 hectares and features covered walkways connecting all housing blocks and shared facilities.
The estate opened in 2013 following the airport's relocation in 1998 to a location outside the city. This development represents the transformation of former aviation infrastructure into a major residential neighborhood.
Ching Long Shopping Centre serves as the community hub where residents gather for shopping, dining, and daily activities. The space creates a natural focal point for neighborhood interaction and local commerce.
The site connects directly to Kai Tak MTR station and serves multiple bus routes, offering good public transport access. The continuous covered pathways make movement between residential blocks and facilities comfortable regardless of weather.
The construction employed prefabricated bathroom modules assembled on-site as a building innovation. The grounds include approximately 700 trees that cover about one-third of the total property area.
