Filial Park is a columbarium situated on a hillside in Tuen Mun District that combines traditional Chinese architectural design with garden spaces. The facility provides niches for cremated remains and conducts regular incense ceremonies for visitors.
Yan Chai Hospital received land in Tsing Shan Chuen in 1998, which led to the development of this facility. The columbarium officially opened in March 2013.
The memorial facility combines Taoist elements through its partnership with Fung Ying Seen Koon organization, offering traditional ancestral commemoration services.
The site is situated on a hillside, so comfortable walking shoes are advisable for navigating the grounds. The facility conducts incense ceremonies at set times twice daily, so it is worth checking these in advance.
This columbarium was the first private cremation facility to receive an official license under Hong Kong's new regulatory framework. This approval in February 2019 marked a significant moment in how such facilities are overseen.
