The mountain takes its name from an old legend about two master craftspeople who forged swords for an ancient ruler. This story remains woven into how locals and visitors alike understand the place today.
Visitors can reach the area by taking a high-speed train to Deqing station and then traveling by taxi to the mountain base. The terrain is best explored on foot, so wearing good shoes and allowing time for walking around is important.
