Lam Tin Public Library

Lam Tin Public Library occupies two full floors of the Lam Tin Complex and houses books, periodicals, and digital media across multiple sections. The spaces are organized into distinct zones to serve different ages and interests within the community.

This library was founded to bring public book collections and information services to the eastern residential neighborhoods of the Kowloon Peninsula. Its opening reflected Hong Kong's broader effort to distribute educational resources more evenly across the city.

The library has a dedicated section focused on local heritage materials that tell the story of how Kwun Tong developed over the decades. Visitors come here to explore documents and resources that reflect the neighborhood's growth and transformation.

The library is easy to reach from Exit A of Lam Tin MTR Station, making it convenient for transit passengers to visit. Visitors should check opening hours in advance, as schedules may differ on weekends and public holidays.

During examination season from March to May, the library opens special study rooms with extended hours to help students prepare. These rooms operate in three separate shifts throughout the day to offer flexibility around peak study needs.
