Hunan Forest Botanical Garden

The garden spans 350 acres across Changsha and contains specialized sections including Cherry Garden, Magnolia Garden, Camellia Garden, and Rhododendron Garden.

Founded in 1985 as Hunan Forest Botanical Garden, the institution received AAAA tourist site status in 2012 and changed its name to Hunan Botanical Garden in 2021.

The garden functions as the principal center for botanical research, conservation, and scientific education in the Hunan province of China.

Entry costs 80 RMB, with the garden housing facilities such as the Sakura Club restaurant, a zip line, a golf club, and a greenhouse selling tulips.

The garden features over 2,000 Yoshino cherry trees that bloom in early spring, creating a display of flowers in the subtropical monsoon climate.
