Tseung Kwan O Waterfront Park

Tseung Kwan O Waterfront Park is a waterfront park stretching from the central district along the coast to Tiu Keng Leng, with water views that include Victoria Harbour and Lei Yue Mun strait. It features cycling paths, bicycle rental stations, jogging trails, and accessible facilities, with a direct entrance from MTR Tseung Kwan O Station exit A1.

The park opened in 2013 as part of Hong Kong's effort to develop public recreational spaces in new residential neighborhoods. Its creation was tied to the rapid expansion of the Tseung Kwan O area during that period of urban growth.

The waterfront draws residents who practice dragon boat racing, keeping a traditional maritime sport alive in the community. These regular training sessions show how people maintain a connection to the water and local customs.

The park is easy to reach and offers plenty of space for walking, cycling, or jogging along the waterfront. Early morning or late afternoon visits are best if you prefer less crowded conditions and better light for enjoying the water views.

The waterfront offers open views toward the Kowloon peninsula and Hong Kong Island, lined with trumpet trees that display bright blooms. These trees serve as a signature element, creating a distinctive visual feature during flowering season.
