D'Aguilar Peak, Mountain summit in Southern District, Hong Kong.
D'Aguilar Peak rises 325 meters above sea level on the D'Aguilar Peninsula, offering views across the southeastern region of Hong Kong Island.
The peak received its name from Major-General Sir George Charles d'Aguilar, marking a connection to Hong Kong's colonial administration period.
Local residents know the peak by its Cantonese name Hok Tsui Shan, reflecting the dual linguistic heritage of this natural landmark.
Hikers can reach the summit through a 30-minute walk from Cape D'Aguilar Road or take an alternative route from Shek O Beach.
A five-hectare area on the northwestern slope holds Special Scientific Interest status since 1975, protecting specific geological formations and wildlife.
