Tin Hau temple in Shek O

Tin Hau temple in Shek O is a sanctuary dedicated to the sea goddess, featuring traditional Chinese design with carved beams, glazed tile roofs, and detailed decorative work. The structure combines artistic elements with its role as a place of worship for the maritime community.

Inside the temple stand statues of two guardian figures, Chin Lei Ngan and Shun Fung Yi, representing enhanced sight and hearing for maritime navigation. These guardians highlight the specific qualities valued for sailor safety at sea.
