Ching Tin Estate, Public rental housing estate in Tuen Mun District, Hong Kong
Ching Tin Estate is a public rental housing development with five residential towers in Tuen Mun, a district in the New Territories of Hong Kong. The complex provides 5,183 flats where around 13,000 people live in multi-story buildings arranged across the site.
The first residents moved in during July 2008 when the initial blocks were finished. Additional buildings were occupied over the following months, and the development was fully settled by April 2010.
The Tin Ching Community Hall near the estate hosts performances, sports activities, and gatherings that strengthen neighborhood connections throughout the year.
The grounds include a shopping center covering around 2,400 square meters (around 25,800 square feet) with 18 shops. Residents find supermarkets, clinics, restaurants, and everyday services close to their homes here.
In addition to the housing towers, a six-story building stands on the grounds and houses a job center run by the Labour Department alongside community facilities. This combination of living space and employment support brings career services directly to residents.
