Olympiastützpunkt Bayern

Olympiastützpunkt Bayern is a national training center for elite athletes located beneath the main grandstand of Munich Olympic Stadium. The facility provides specialized training areas, medical services, and housing for young athletes across various sports disciplines.

The center was founded in 1989 and has since grown to become Germany's largest Olympic training facility. It now supports over 900 national team athletes competing across multiple sports.

The center brings together athletic training with school education through partnerships with four Elite Sports Schools across Bavaria. Athletes pursue both their sports careers and academic studies in one place.

The center sits right next to the Olympic Stadium and is easily accessible by public transportation. Visitors should plan ahead since access to the facility is limited to specific times for the general public.

The center operates regional facilities throughout Bavaria, including specialized winter sports centers in Oberstdorf, Füssen, and Garmisch-Partenkirchen. This network allows athletes to train at multiple locations tailored to different sports needs.
