Livaditis, Mountain waterfall in Xanthi Municipality, Greece

Livaditis is a waterfall in the Xanthi region that plunges approximately 60 meters in a single vertical drop. The water creates a striking natural feature set within a densely forested valley.

The waterfall and its surroundings have existed for a very long time and were known in ancient times. The area was connected to old stories and legends that still resonate today.

The waterfall holds meaning in local stories as a place where nature displays its power. People from nearby villages visit to experience and connect with this natural feature.

Access is via a marked trail that starts from a nearby village and leads through forest to the waterfall. Visitors should wear comfortable shoes and follow the trail markings to find their way.

During winter months, the falling water transforms into ice sculptures that constantly change shape as temperatures fluctuate. These frozen formations appear only under specific weather conditions and look different with each visit.
