Mont Joigny

Mont Joigny is a limestone peak in the Chartreuse Mountains rising to approximately 1,550 meters. Its slopes are clothed in mountain vegetation with pale rock faces visible throughout the terrain.

This mountain forms part of the Chartreuse range, shaped over millions of years through geological processes involving limestone deposits and tectonic activity. The range has been a natural boundary and landmark in the Alps for as long as human settlement exists in the region.

Local communities near Mont Joigny maintain traditional practices of mountain agriculture and seasonal grazing in the surrounding alpine meadows.
