Roc de Charmieux

Roc de Charmieux is a mountain peak in the northern Alps that forms a narrow ridge running about 1,100 meters long with steeply sloped sides. The hiking path crosses rocky sections and exposed terrain that requires careful footing on marked routes.

The slope has served as summer pastureland for herds of North Alpine shepherds since medieval times. This long tradition of pastoral use shaped the trails and the landscape over many centuries.
