Bichvinta-Miuseri Strict Nature Reserve

The protected area extends over 75 square kilometers across three sections: Myussera, Lidzava, and Pitsunda, featuring Mediterranean-type landscapes and dense forests.

The Georgian government established this strict nature reserve in 1965 to safeguard local ecosystems and maintain scientific research opportunities.

The reserve represents Georgian environmental conservation methods through controlled access and preservation of native species within designated protection zones.

Visitors need to obtain permits from the Agency of Protected Areas of Georgia before entering any section of the reserve.

The reserve contains substantial groves of Pitsundian pine trees alongside Colchic figs and Caucasian walnut species in their natural habitat.
