Szkéné Színház

Szkéné Színház is an experimental theatre located within the Budapest University of Technology and Economics in District XI, featuring a 150-seat auditorium with an adjoining foyer space. The venue overlooks the Danube and creates an intimate setting for performances.

The theatre was founded in 1970 as a stage for university literary productions and became a centre for alternative theatre under directors Regős Pál and Pintér Béla. Over the decades, it has remained a launching point for experimental performance artists.
