Korazim

Korazim stands on a volcanic plateau at 179 meters elevation, situated north of the Sea of Galilee between the Hula Valley and Jordan River.

The settlement established in 1983 began as a moshav before merging with Ma'of, taking its name from the ancient city of Chorazin mentioned in biblical texts.

The settlement operates under the jurisdiction of Mevo'ot HaHermon Regional Council and maintains connections with Hitahdut HaIkarim, an Israeli cooperative association.

Located at coordinates 32.910297 latitude and 35.550697 longitude, Korazim provides residential facilities for its population of 352 inhabitants as of 2022.

The land of modern Korazim sits one kilometer west from the archaeological remains of ancient Chorazin, which features preserved synagogue structures and basalt stone carvings.
