Gulab Bagh is a 100-hectare park with rose gardens, walking paths, ponds, and animal enclosures spread across green grounds. The space contains multiple zones for strolling with planted areas and open water features.
The park was founded in 1881 by Maharana Sajjan Singh and was initially called Sajjan Niwas Garden. Its name later changed to Gulab Bagh, the designation it carries today.
The Saraswati Bhawan Library holds ancient manuscripts and objects that tell stories of Rajasthani heritage and literature. Visitors can explore how these collections reflect the learning and artistic traditions of the region.
The park is open daily for visitors and offers pathways that lead through various zones. Good walking shoes help when exploring the many sections and routes across the large grounds.
A miniature train circles through the gardens and passes four ornamental bridges. This ride offers a different view of the grounds and its planted areas from above the pathways.
