Indroda Dinosaur and Fossil Park is a paleontological center in Gandhinagar situated on about 400 hectares along the Sabarmati River. The grounds display actual fossils, life-size reconstructions of extinct animals, and petrified eggs from the prehistoric era.
The site was founded in 1970 by the Geological Survey of India and displays fossils from the Patcham Formation of the Kutch basin approximately 66 million years old. The collection documents a period when this region was inhabited by dinosaurs and other prehistoric creatures.
The park serves as an important learning destination managed by the Gujarat Ecological Education and Research Foundation, drawing students and families who want to understand prehistoric life.
