Indroda Dinosaur and Fossil Park, Fossil park in Gandhinagar, India.

Indroda Dinosaur and Fossil Park is a paleontological center in Gandhinagar situated on about 400 hectares along the Sabarmati River. The grounds display actual fossils, life-size reconstructions of extinct animals, and petrified eggs from the prehistoric era.

The site was founded in 1970 by the Geological Survey of India and displays fossils from the Patcham Formation of the Kutch basin approximately 66 million years old. The collection documents a period when this region was inhabited by dinosaurs and other prehistoric creatures.

The park serves as an important learning destination managed by the Gujarat Ecological Education and Research Foundation, drawing students and families who want to understand prehistoric life. Visitors can observe how the site functions as an educational hub where groups gather to study fossils and learn about Earth's ancient past.

The site is located about 30 kilometers from Ahmedabad International Airport and is accessible from there, or visitors can reach it via bus services from major Gujarat cities. Wear comfortable walking shoes since the grounds are extensive and require substantial walking to explore.

The facility holds India's second-largest collection of dinosaur eggs and fossil remains, including specimens from Tyrannosaurus rex, Megalosaurus, and Titanosaurus. This exceptional assemblage gives visitors insight into the variety of species that inhabited this ancient landscape.
