Lakshminarasimha Temple, Haranhalli, Hindu temple in Hassan district, India
The Lakshminarasimha Temple features three main sanctuaries connected by a central hall, displaying detailed carvings on walls and pillars throughout the structure.
Three wealthy brothers, Peddanna Heggade, Sovanna, and Kesanna, commissioned the construction of this temple during the 1230s under Hoysala dynasty rule.
The temple walls contain detailed relief sculptures of Hindu deities, including Harihara, Durga Mahisasuramardini, and Ganesha, executed by master sculptor Mallitamma.
Located 35 kilometers from both Halebidu and Hassan city, the temple remains accessible through National Highway 73 and State Highway 21.
The temple incorporates multiple eaves and miniature roofs above lateral shrines, with friezes depicting sequences of horses and elephants in motion.
